At the 45th International Congress for the History of Pharmacy, held from September 7 to 10, 2022 in Milan, Serbia was chosen as the host of the 46th Congress. It will be held from September 4 to 7, 2024 in Belgrade.
The theme of this year's congress was "Health, beauty, and well-being in the history of pharmacy".
Participants from Serbia, representatives of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Belgrade, distributed promotional material about Belgrade and Serbia to their international colleagues. They also shared information about the host city of the next Congress.
Nemanja Đorđević, a young colleague who graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Belgrade, won 3rd place in the competition of young researchers in the field of history of pharmacy, with a presentation about the life and work of the famous pharmacologist Jovan Tucakov, an academician and the author of the first pharmacognosy textbook in the Serbian language.
