Fair "Wine Vision by Open Balkan" at the Belgrade Fair
Under the auspices of the governments of Serbia, North Macedonia and Albania, and as part of the "Open Balkan" initiative, the first international wine, food and tourism fair "Wine Vision by Open Balkan" will be held in Belgrade from September 1 to 4, 2022.
332 exhibitors from 22 countries are expected to attend the Belgrade Fair as part of this event. 160 exhibitors from Serbia, 26 from Albania, while 47 exhibitors will come from North Macedonia. In addition to the member countries of the Open Balkan, there will also be exhibitors from Croatia, Montenegro, France, Chile, Argentina, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and other countries.
During the Fair, visitors will have the opportunity to visit different thematically defined halls, as well as to learn everything they want about the history and origin of wine, the production process, types of wine, consumption and, of course, to taste and buy some of the most beautiful wines of the Balkan region and the world.
As the capital of the best wines during the Fair, Belgrade will gather the most eminent winemakers, winegrowers, cellar masters, oenologists, sommeliers and wine merchants, as well as exhibitors from the world's most famous wineries. Since the Fair is an exhibition with sales character, visitors will be able to buy selected wines and talk to the owners of the wineries. B2B meetings of wine exhibitors, representatives of leading retail chains and representatives of the HORECA industry are an integral part of this fair. In addition, a Food Fair will be held, which will present the most famous gastronomic specialties from this part of Europe.
During the four-day event, the "Open Balkan Wine Trophy" international wine evaluation will be organized. The wines will be evaluated by 25 international wine judges from all over the world, and among them there will be as many as five holders of the title "Master of Wine", the most prestigious title in the world of wine.
The fair is open for visitors on Thursday from 16:00 to 20:00, on Friday and Saturday from 12:00 to 20:00, and on Sunday from 12:00 to 19:00. The event takes place in halls 1, 1A, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of the Belgrade Fair.
